Yolanda started her career working for a major banking firm and in retail management after earning a
B.A. degree in Economics and a B.A. degree in Sociology in 1993. She continued her career in the
finance and banking industry entering Human Resources in 2000 supporting Senior Executive leaders in
several key areas of organizational design & delivery, strategy, leadership training and development,
process improvement, compliance and retention, and the customer/client experience in a global HR
capacity. In 2012, leveraging her two decades of experience and certifications, she became an
independent consultant supporting several HR projects for Fortune 500 companies and small thriving
businesses. In 2016, she was led to answer the call to a more personalized endeavor in Education. In
September of 2019, as part of an economic development initiative, she took on the role of teaching and
training adult students full time as an Adjunct Instructor for a local college. She has been able to fuse
together the best of both worlds: leading, training and developing future leaders. This experience has
allowed her opportunities to travel globally to assist other non-profits with their organizational efforts.
She continues to stay current on trends within the banking industry by staying connected to industry
influencers and other leaders and proactively collaborating with business partners at all levels.
